Budget (including currency): 1000 usd, maybe, I might purchase stocks so this might change

Country: Usa

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Battlefront 2, Steep, Superhot, Forza Horizon 4, Modern Warfare eventually, etc

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Ryzen 5 2600 overclocked to 4.1 ghz, GTX1650 this is what I want to upgrade, b450f gaming, 500gb sn750 m.2 ssd, 2 hard drives, corsair 550 watt psu, random Taiwanese case.

I would like to upgrade to a 3060 ti, or 3070 at the end of the year, I would also like to get a 2tb hard drive and put all the stuff from my 2 hard drives on it, Will a 550 watt be enough for the 3070 or 3060 ti, I would also like to upgrade my cooler to an 240 aio so I can upgrade my cpu down the road, I would like to play at 1440p ultra on all of these games for the best experience possible with my 1440p 144hz Samsung gaming monitor, g5

Don’t take everything I say seriously

take it with a grain of s a l t

550 watt should be fine for a 3060 ti but a 3070 is pushing it

Big nerd.

The hard part is getting ahold of a gpu in the first place.  This might be a case of see what you can get ahold of first then see what you have to do to make it work later.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

My understanding is it is likely to get worse before it gets better.  We shall see.
