windows programs not having icons when searching

When I use windows search (I disabled the web search btw) icons for a lot of apps don't come up. It shows up as the GIMP logo (as I set gimp to be the default for opening .png files). This happens from settings, to whatsapp desktop, from armoury crate to nvidia control panel. This only happens when searching for things, not going down the list of programs in the start menu. idk what to do, and idk why it is to so many icons.

 

EDIT: I fixed the issue by changing the scale, THEN restarting, and changing the scale back and restarting again
