Computer noob:

I currently have this RAM installed https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01BIWK9OK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (Crucial RAM CT8G4DFS824A 8 GB DDR4 2400 MHz CL17 Desktop Memory) and want to upgrade from 8gb to 16gb. Delivery on 8gb of the same RAM is really slow so am looking to buy any other compatible RAM. My quick google suggested ideally I would want to match RAM speed and RAM timing. Would something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CMK8GX4M1A2400C16-Vengeance-Performance-Desktop/dp/B01ARHBBPS/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=8gb+ram&qid=1617358778&sr=8-3 ( Corsair CMK8GX4M1A2400C16 Vengeance LPX 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) DDR4 2400 MHz C16 XMP 2.0 High Performance Desktop Memory Module, Black) be compatible? If not, can someone point me towards RAM that is compatible?

Not sure if this information is needed or not but my motherboard is a Gigabyte Z370P D3.

Thanks for any help!

Technically speaking it should "work", but i wouldn't recommend you doing that because sometimes the the system wont recognize different ram sticks (rare, but still), i would recommend you to go with another CL17 RAM with same speed, timings and rank (single rank/double rank etc) (i.e same CL values like 17-17-17-39 etc) that would be better and is better than going with different ram sticks ....

Hope that helps

Thanks for your message. I'm really struggling finding out the exact information that I need to match. For example the Crucial RAM that I linked and have in my computer I do not know how to see its full CL values beyond it saying "CL17", I can then see the memory clock speed is 2400MHz but I don't know what rank it is. I'm also struggling to find RAM that perfectly matches up with all the necessary conditions. Would it be possible to point me in the right direction of something appropriate if you can?
