Daisy chaining an old monitor with an active DP to HDMI adapter

Hi,

 

I've got a Lenovo p27h-20 monitor (DP in and DP out) and an older monitor that has a HDMI port. I have a GTX 1060 3GB gpu with a DP port. Here is how I am trying to daisy chain my displays.

 

GPU DP ---> DP to DP cable (1.4) ---> p27h DP in

p27h DP out ---> Active DP to HDMI adapter --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> old monitor HDMI port

 

I have installed the drivers for the lenovo monitor from their website.

I have the monitor on DP 1.2 mode and daisy chaining is turned on.

I have tried clicking on detect displays in the settings. 

 

Is there anything else I can do to get it to work (either on my windows machine or a Macbook via USB-C).
