Hey! I am having problems with my PC not booting up correctly unless I turn off the PSU and unplug it every time. When I just turn it off and try to boot it, the ROG screen pops up «press DEL or f2 to get into BIOS». But I am not able to click or do anything in the menu and I am starting to think my RAM is the problem. When stuck at the ROG screen the DRAM CPU light is solid lighting up as well. (Not blinking). I’ve got the ROG STRIX B450-F Gaming motherboard, AMD Ryzen 7 3700x CPU, Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 OC and my RAM is Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 3200MHz 16gb (2x8). Is there any way any of you can check if these are supposed to be compatible with my system straight out of the box? Or help me find RAM 2x8 or 2x32 that is more suitable and wont give me a headache? I have tried switching the RAM on all of the 4 spots, with both one and two at the same time. Same result every time.

I had problems with my RAM when I built the pc as well, but not like this. Now I can’t make it work anymore and I am getting desperate. Hope any of you can help!

sometimes this can be a psu issue

what PSU is it?

does your ram remained lighted up even after it shut down? and powering off your psu makes it go dim, and turning psu back on makes some LED on motherboard go bright, but not the ram?

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

My PSU and Motherboard has been to the manufacturer for a repair check, because I thought they were the problem as well, but they turned out just fine and they sent them back! Powering off my PSU completely will make my PC boot like normal, going through the led lights, but none of them is lighted up. If I then turn off my computer normally and attempt to boot it up again I get stuck at the ROG screen without the ability to do anything else than turn it off via the powerbutton. At this state the DRAM CPU led light is lighted up until I turn it off. All LED lights on mobo, cpu fan etc works fine. It’s just that I get stuck on the ROG screen. All fans and everything works fine! The motherboard lights up when I flick on the power button on the PSU and it dims when I turn it off as usual.

Start using one stick at a time and put each one it each slot if you think it’s ram. It’s tedious (takes 8 tries) but it should work, and not take that long.
