Computer wont boot with 4th display

Hi All,

 

I currently have 3 monitors connected to my gpu (2 via displayport and 1 hdmi), when i try to connect the 4th display(which would be connected via displayport to HDMI) my machine stalls and when i try to reboot, it refuses to power up while the 4th cable is plugged in. Any ideas?

What graphics card? Some are limited to displaying depending on the interface used. So you might be able to use 3 Displayport but not the rest of your connectors. Need to know GPU to really say

its a 2080

What 2080? Brand. is it just OEM or a AM

its a zotac 2080 amp extreme

You might needa get a USB-C to HDMI converter to use all your displays. Try using just the display port ones and see if they all work.

Just swpped the dp cable into the other port and everything worked fine, i swapped it back to the original port and the same thing happened (Only 3 cables connected)

Gonna try a driver up to see if it helps at all

I just finished the driver update and i also swapped 2 of the cables around and it seems to be stable not sure which fixed the issue and im not gonna test further b/c id rather not have my machine crash again

Some GPU's have a limit on the amount of connected displays depending on the method used [I.E Displayport,HDMI] Etc.. Though i don't know if that is related to the crash or not as I've never had that happen.
