New router needed.

In need of a new router. I currently get 400mbps but my router will only give me about 200-250 while hardlined. Any suggestions? Dont want to spend more than say, $300

Where you located? Do you need a mesh network?

I am in north east colorado. I honestly dont know the differences. We have a smart tv, two phones, two xbox's a gaming laptop and desktop(which i stream on twitch from) and a roku

Well a mesh network you'd use if you wanted to have wifi over a very large area.

Ok, our house isn't too large. Maybe 900-1000 sqft with only one device(roku) on the opposite end of the house. I want to optimize what is being sent out by the router. 250 out of 400 even hardlined just isnt cutting it.

I'd recommend getting a router with WiFi-6 to future proof. Here's one you can look into:
