Hello.

I got my ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 ROG Strix OC today.

From before i had 1060. I was looking forward to a new better card, but now I think this really sucks.

My main display is flickering a lot. This display is using a DP cable, and it has only DP 1.1 and 1.2.

I was using the same screen on my 970 and 1060 without any flickering.

I have used DDU twice and tried to install latest GeForce GameReady Driver from Nvidia this did not help.

Used DDU again, and installed the driver via Windows Update, this did not work either.

I have the latest chipset drivers installed and latest BIOS installed.

My other two displays that uses DVI to HDMI is NOT flickering, but the card only has 2 HDMI outputs, and 3 DP outputs. I have tried all 3.

I have also tried changing DP cable without any changes.

Spec:

MB: ASUS Rog Strix B550-F Gaming WiFi

PSU: Corsair 760W

GPU: ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 ROG Strix OC.

Main Display: BenQ GW2765

Secondary displays: DELL U2412M

OS: Windows 10 Pro

I don't know what to do, and are really sad right now.

Very common issue with the new, really crappy 461.72 nvidia drivers.. what is your current driver version?

461.72, I can't find any other driver versjon for 3060.

But I did find out that Windows says my main display is 59,951 Hz, and changig it to 60 did not help.

I did then go to Nvidia Control Panel and made a customize screen resolution (2560x1440) 59Hz, and not 60Hz that Nvidia set as default.

Then the flickering seems to be gone, but that is kind of irritating that i has to make my own resolution 😛
