USB wifi?

USB wifi is adequate but really depends on the antenna to have decent range.  PCIe wifi cards are better usually.

 

Read reviews but I've used both and haven't had one that just sucked.

Hello, I'm researching a future motherboard purchase. One motherboard lacks onboard wifi but matches my aesthetic while the other has 802.11ax Wifi 6. I'm not sure with which one to go, seeing as I can easily get both. How good are USB wifi network cards in general? I'm wondering if that could be a potential solution in the future should I need it and have all pcie slots full for whatever reason, however I have absolutely 0 experience with such devices. Thanks in advance! (motherboards in question are Asus rog strix b550-f and b 550-a)
