yeah you can use it, but AC5 is rather old and not all that worth using, your laptops stock TIM is likely just as good. Keep in mind AC5 as a long brake in time, temp will be higher at first.

It takes time to brake in and preform the best it can. I'd get something better, nth1 and nano grease extreme come to mind.

whats your laptop BTW

Ah no I saw a guy with the same problem with my laptop and artic silvers worked perfect already not even after braking in so I think I don’t have to cancel my order or is it really really bad

Its fine. Specs are still better than MX4, barely 😄

200 hours until it settles. Its fine. Most paste's take a few days anyways, advertised or not.

by today's standers its bad.   10 years a go it was  far from the best and today you never see it benched marked anymore. Most stock of AC5 is rather old too. Sure it was grate new but tech has moved on

that is beside the point, ac5 was bottom of the barrel 10 years ago and today its only gotten worse. No one even bothers to compare it to today's TIMs.

I have used it on and off for more than a decade.. I just finished with TFX, one of the best on the market, and I am seeing literally 2-3c difference.

I know how to use it I guess. But when I get my new tube of TFX I will come back to this thread and post my findings.

No its bad. it was bad 10 years ago when folks still compared it to other TIMs. Today the gap is so big no one even bothers to test it anymore.

Hopefully you get a latter production tube of it and not a old tube that been sitting for years.

It won't kill your components or anything, but at the price difference between that and something better I certainly wouldn't but it. FYI - thermal paste does have a shelf life of 3-5 years. I wouldn't recommend using an ancient tube.
