Hi all,

I'm new to the PC scene and I just finished my first build. I'm running a Ryzen 5 5600x CPU on the Asus ROG Strix b550-f gaming wifi motherboard, with 32GB of Patriot Viper Steel series (3600MHz kit). After completing the POST and installing Windows and doing all the updates/new driver installations, I went into my BIOS to turn on DCOP (which updated my RAM speed to 3600MHz). This caused an immediate blue screen after I saved and exited. Through experimenting I've been able to find that the system is stable at 3200MHz but anything above that forces a blue screen. Does anyone have any tips?

I've checked and ensured that my RAM is in the correct dimm slots according to the motherboard manual. I've also checked spec sheets for my motherboard and it claims it can handle well above 3600MHz.

Thanks

Is your new ram on the QVL,  (Qualified Vendors List)?  Might want to check the vendors website re to see if it is on the list, if it isn't there, might want to consider some type of alternative to ensure the ram you are using is compatible with the mobo.  Good Luck.

I just checked and it shows up on the QVL, but thanks for the suggestion!
