I've been trying to figure this out for days. Cannot get Warzone to run. I've never ran it before. I downloaded it to play with my brother.

system specs:

  • AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Radeon RX580
  • 16GB RAM
  • windows 10 up-to-date

I've uninstalled battlenet over a dozen times.

I've reinstalled the game 3 times.

I've run scan and repair twice

I've uninstalled amd drivers/software 4 times using both the recommended and optional drivers.

odd things to mention:

  • after a clean install of battlenet, when i run warzone for the first time it does bring up a window asking if I want to create an activision account or to skip.
  • after a clean install of warzone, when i run warzone for the first time a startup screen for the game does come up(not a fullscreen window) and there is a loading bar at the bottom. it hangs on this screen and after a couple minutes says the program isn't working.
  • every time i start up warzone i get 1 or 2 error message noises but no error message windows appear
  • after i hit play, the process does launch and battlenet says playing(most of the time) and I can see the process in task manager, but no game window ever appears.
