How does QFLASH+ work?

I need to update my BIOS to be compatible with 11th gen intel CPUs, How does QFLASH+ work? And do I need to remove my CPU, GPU, and RAM or is it optional?

Q-Flash Plus allows you to update the BIOS when your system is off (S5 shutdown state). Then you can save the latest BIOS on a thumb drive and plug it into the dedicated port, and then you can now flash the BIOS automatically by simply pressing the Q-Flash Plus button.

Yes, you have to remove your gpu, cpu and ram.
