Other details: This will be a new and first build. My son is 10 and loves Minecraft so I want to find out how much it will cost me to get a pc that can run Minecraft Rtx but be able to do school works aswell. At the moment this is just plans and it doesn't need to be the best of the best spec, I just want to know what I will need. I used to be quite pc capable but with the rate that tech has grown since I first used it all I'm a little outdated

You need atleast a 2070 super/3060ti level of performance to get 1080p at around 75 fps. I could probably spec out a system around 1100ish pounds, but if you need to graphics card any time in 2021 you are better off getting a prebuilt.

Buying a pre-built with a 2000 or 3000 series RTX card is the best option you have. But price who knows whats gonna be

1TB will suffice. If you ever need the extra storage, get a 2TB Seagate Barracuda Compute.

I highly advise buying GPUs after shortage.
