Question about am4 locking lever

Hello everybody :)

Last week I bought Asus b450m tuf gaming pro II and immediately after picking the mobo noticed some rattle coming from the socket area.

Upon further inspection the rattle is coming from the locking lever ... it is moving side to side quite a bit and it is very loose in both positions (up and down) when there is no CPU in it. When you install CPU rattle and movement is gone.

I am used to Foxconn sockets where the lever is sturdy and super nice to move even when there is no CPU installed. This socket is Lotes and its my first time seeing such brand.

Is this normal with Lotes sockets?

ofcourse, it is designed to have cpu on, not without.

I am asking because, as I said all the previous motherboard I have experience with, were all Foxconn sockets with very tight levers, even when there is no CPU.

My experience with AM4 socket is, its not even that tight when latched.  Hell pulled my first CPU out with the cooler the other day and bent some freaking pins.  Fortunately I was able to bend them back no problem.

Pulling CPUs with the cooler is something almost every AMD user have experiences at least once ... but that wobbly-loosey lever is first for me.
