Laptop For Software Engineering

Hello,
Im about to start to study Software engineering soon and i wonder what kind of laptop should i buy?
I will probably will use it for light gaming too.

16-32GB of RAM, Ryzen 4800H/5800H, Windows + Linux on another drive. Legion 5 with 4800H and a starter dGPU (1660 Ti, 1650 Ti) has a really good value (although it's not a full gaming laptop). If you need something super-portable then 4800U/4700U devices but there will be some tradeoffs.

sound good but do you have any more laptops to advice  me ?
Is the 2020 G14 good has well? or not worth it? its the same price but I'm not sure about the specs 
and i heard about it that is grate
and should i w8 for the g14 2021 to be available or not?

Zen 2 is still good. You will have to pay premium for Zen 3 laptops. For specific model check it reviews.
