I have a GTX 1080 and whenever I'm in the main menu in any game my GPU fans would start ramping up and I would be getting high temps and this only happens when there isn't a FPS cap for the main menu and I don't want a fps cap for the menu because that really doesn't fix the problem because I used to have a 1050ti and the temps and fans would run normally in any in game main menu

So whats the issue exactly? You said it only happens when there isnt an fps cap, but also state it doesnt really fix it. Sounds like it does.

You didnt state the gpu temp, nor the fan profile. And you cant compare a 1050 to a 1080. It cant even compare in frame rates.

Make a better fan profile or let the card do what it needs to.
