Hey guys so I was just watching some of the old build guides and realized that the last $1500 one was in May of last year and also noticed that there isn't a $1000 one, which I think is the sweet spot for a lot of people wanting to build new computers. I think they're due for an update but I'm also curious as to how long Linus usually waits and what does he generally wait for. New CPUs, GPUs?

Imo updating build guide just because there are better components for money isn't really needed. You can head to New builds section and get fairly reasonable suggestions. The basics won't be changing soon. So things like how to pick GPU or CPU you want is done with same logic. They just aren't same in performance.
