DP Splitter

I am looking for a dp 1.2 splitter that can run my valve index at 144hz and my main monitor at 240hz. If anyone knows if one can do that let me know.

Setup

CPU: Intel I9-9900K [BCLK 100.80]

MB: MSI - Z390 Gaming Pro

Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16 GB DDR4-3200 [XMP]

HDD: WD - Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM

SSD: SanDisk - Ultra 3D 500 GB 2.5"

M.2: Samsung 970 Evo Pro

Moniter: Asus - VG245H 75Hz

Moniter: Alienware - AW25148H 240Hz

DP 1.2 doesn't have enough bandwidth to do both at the same time.

Would a 1.4 turned into a 1.2 have enough bandwidth if that is possible?

Anecdotally, DP MST doesn't support variable refresh rates, so I'd say you're better off just running two cables.

Would it be possible to run two monitors off one HDMI port if both were 240hz?

Also if displayports don’t support variable refresh rate then could I run the same 240hz off a splitter?

I would do separate cables but my gpu only has 1 hdmi and two display ports

No, HDMI doesn't support multiple streams.

Variable Refresh Rate as in GSync/FreeSync. Regardless, there isn't enough bandwidth for more than one high-refresh signal per cable.

It wouldn't work due to me having 2 240hz monitors. Also, another question you have probably answered, would it be possible doing a 60hz and a 144hz on a DP Splitter?
