Budget (including currency): under $2,500 USD

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Work, architectural drafting, AutoCAD and Revit heavy

Hey all,

Recently received my first job as an architectural drafter, and my company has given me a budget for a PC and peripherals.

I have started specking out builds and would like some recommendations on the one I'm leaning towards.

Open to any and all suggestions!

ORIGIN $2403.PNG

Seems like a pretty good build. Something I'd change is the PSU, I'd have it at 550-600W just for giving the PSU a bit of a headroom. I'd also probably go with a Ryzen 3700x and an x470 motherboard if the prices were lower. I don't have a ton of idea about pricing in your market. But overall, this build looks nice.

You could also bump your RAM to 3600 MHz RAM with CL 16 or 18, although I'm not sure if the difference would be very noticeable considering that this isn't a Ryzen system.

Also, as an off the top of my head advise, if you choose to get it built in some retail space or idk the conditions around your place, it's probably gonna be cheaper. I haven't had any personal experience from Origin from India, but from LTT videos, I've seen they cost more than building it yourself, or getting someone to build it for you as Origin is more of a boutique brand if that makes sense.

Attention is what makes life meaningful.

Also, please quote me for a reply. 🙂

Not quite sure about the 450W SFX Corsair. You may want to go for something like a 550W to 650W. Seems good.

Also, if you don't mind tho., you may want to check this BUILD that I created for right around 2k usd. It's not the best build but for sure you can do better.

If you're willing to wait for the Founders RTX 3080 and 5900x in shops like BestBuy or MicroCenter which sells at the 'base price'. You may be wondering why I didn't add a PSU...It's because of the price in the PCPartPicker. Seasonic Prime TX 1000W plays only at 289 usd according to BHPhoto not 800 usd.

I apologize since I only included a budget 1080p monitor and case fans. Certainly. you may want to change or tweak some specs considering that it has a 3080 and 5900x lol.
