I have had a headache for weeks trying to figure out the cause of these random BSOD crashes in Windows 10.

Let me give you the run down. I built many custom gaming rigs in my life, so i know what im doing.

I built a new budget build for my son. Everything went smoothly. But i used my old Corsair 650D case to build it in.

Then a few hours after building it, i started getting BSOD crashes. So like any normal person would do, i made sure it wasnt a software issue, and installed the latest version of Windows 10 on my old SSD, a fresh install. Still had BSOD.

Now i know it wasnt software, so maybe it was my SSD. So did another fresh windows 10 install on a HDD, still had BSOD. Removed all but one RAM DIMM, still had the problem. I even updated the BIOS.

At this point i was getting freezes and lockups even in BIOS. Thankfully it didnt freeze when i was updating the BIOS.

So I installed the SSD again, put all my RAM back in, and remembered that the case has been sitting in a garage for years. Maybe the front IO headers has a short, so i disconnected the front USB headers from the board.

Its been 2 days and still no BSOD or freezing. Has anyone had this issue before? Could damaged front USB headers cause this problem? I thought maybe the USB port just wouldnt work if that's the issue.
