No peripherals needed at the moment. Looking to buy as soon as possible and want to use 1440p 144hz, will eventually get a second monitor.

This is my first pc build and I've done hard studying for a while to pick out the best parts for me I think but I know a lot of you on here have way more experience so any feedback is appreciated :)

As soon as possible isn't that great of an option for the GPU. You're looking at paying quite a lot extra for basically any GPU over msrp. Here's a $1500 list assuming that you can wait for components to drop back down to MSRP:

Also you can increase the storage and ram if you want for a better editing experience, or change the CPU to the 10700k if you want 8 cores for the same-ish price, however you'll need a more expensive motherboard if you want to oc and a cooler on the side.

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

Thank you! this is my first post on here so shocking how quick I got feedback. Yeah I mostly mean as soon as possible as to not put money into the pockets of scummy aftermarket resellers so waiting for it to be at or near MSRP is my move. Is 32GB ram worth it for editing? I'm pretty sure it isn't much use for the level of gaming I'm fine with but I wasn't sure how worthwhile it'd be for editing.
