Windows 8.1 task manager Disk 100%

I have ASUS laptop running Windows 8.1 64 bit. After booting up, for more than 5 minutes, the task manager shows the disk activity 100% , and during this time, the computer becomes very slow, after that, the performance is lightning fast. Any idea why this is happening? how to solve it? Check the link below for a screenshot

If you wait a while (~1h), does it solve itself?

If it did, restarting the computer, does it continue to do it?

You can sort by disk usage in task manager - try doing that and see what's using all the disk.

Open Resource Monitor in Task Manager > Performance tab and see what is using your disk.
