I have ASUS laptop running Windows 8.1 64 bit. After booting up, for more than 5 minutes, the task manager shows the disk activity 100% , and during this time, the computer becomes very slow, after that, the performance is lightning fast. Any idea why this is happening? how to solve it? Check the link below for a screenshot

Open Resource Monitor in Task Manager > Performance tab and see what is using your disk.
