Is it the core or memory of the GPU that reaches 104c?

Either way it's not great. You're going to want to make sure you have proper airflow in your case.

If you already do, I'd suggest figuring out what is getting hot and doing something about it.

If it's still under warranty contact the place that sold it to you.

yo, gpu itself is around 75 id guess but the hotspot is 104c when stresstest, thing is the restart happened when i was idle aswell, when it wasnt so hot so idk what it is but i dont have warrenty anymore so i could try to replace these pads on the gpu but idk if itll solve the issue

You may have ruined something in your computer, allowing it to reach 104c is ridiculous and is way over the limit for any componenent. Below 90c is usually okay, and below 80c is healthy. Above 90c means shut the pc down immediately and allow it to cool. Please check your componements for physical damage.

do you think its worth opening the gpu up and replacing the compound up? its idling rn at 53c on the hotspot and 64c memory

I have 2 suggestions here:

1. Upgrade the GPU completely

2. Upgrade the cooler (Never use stock coolers they reach really high temps for no reason)

Idling at 50-60 is high, normal is 35-50c

I’ve had the issue once and turned out to be physical damage, as said check the GPU closely, for any dust, damage, or anything alike, Dust should be removed with compressed air.

Try to touch the gpu the least possible to prevent self done damages

Note: If you decide to replace the GPU as a whole I recommend a NVIDIA GTX or RTX as their coolers are slightly better on most products. Or buy a Radeon that has a good stock cooler integrated. If you want advice then list the products you are considering and I'll give a slight overview of what their good sides & bad sides are. Also include a list of games that are to be played on it on daily basis. I will aim for 60 FPS consistently while giving you some benchmarks & advice.
