Shut down PC without power button.

All a power switch does is short the pins. So yes, to shut it down you just short them again. Some boards will do it on contact if you're not in an OS, others will make you hold it for a bit.

I currently do not have my case but have the PC assembled on the MOBO box. I know how to short the pins to start it up but don't know how to shut it down... I do NOT have windows installed! I have been using the power supply switch to do it but am looking for another way. Do you short the pins again... (I'm assuming not) I just want some way to shut it down without windows or flipping the switch on the PSU. If It helps I have a MSI b550 mortar (Non wifi)
