Hi,

So I have 2 x 8GB sticks of corsair vengeance 3000mhz RAM in my motherboard.

I bought 2 x 16GB or Team T-Force Vulcan Z 3200mhz RAM,

Should I just add the 2x16GB to get 32GB or install them all and have 48GB?

I'm not sure what to do because I will most likely have to lower the 3200mhz to 3000mhz to match the slower sticks.

I have also hear that Ryzen is fussy with mismatched RAM sticks, unlike Intel. Is it worth the trouble to get them working together?

Relevant Specs:

Ryzen 5 3600

X470 MSI Gaming Plus Max

EVGA 3060ti FTW3

Well if you install that ram It'd best-case scenario the ram would run at the lower CAS latency and frequency, so say the tforce is CL18, and the vengeance is cl16, the ram would run at a combined 3000mhz cl18- best case, but nothing else would happen. Since one is lpx (I think?) and they're from different brands with likely different boards, memory banks, ect.  they might not play nice and your system might not be very stable.

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

Yeah I agree.

I'm just going to take out the 2x8 and put in the 2x16. If that's not enough I'll buy another 2x16 of the same type.

Do you need 64GB?  If you needed 32GB, I would have just bought another 2x8 kit and had 4x8 and been done.
