I just got a new cpu and it was the ryzen 5 3600 and it came with preapplied thermal paste and I didn’t think if I had enough or not so I didn’t align the screws up with the motherboard so I had to take out my cpu cooler with some of the pre applied thermal paste. It still had some left and I think I would be fine with it so Does my cpu have enough thermal paste? It goes 49-56 C from watching YouTube is that bad?

no, the paste is just enough, no need to reapply.

Those temps are just fine for stock cooler.

You have to screw it till it creaks, that's when you know when to stop.

screw it diagonally, 1-4 2-3.

Well that's bad bro, you gotta fix it. The mounting is not right.

You should examine the paste pattern to see if it made enough contact.

this is a bad pattern, you see, there are still some lump on the bottom side.

A good pattern should not have any lumps, all the paste should be thinly spreading.
Below is about that im talking about.

If this is what you have, then time to evaluate the case air flow.

Open the side panel and blow some air (with a desk fan) to eliminate any hot pocket.

If you still have a hot chip, then probably you are getting a bad one, you should return in for replacement.
