Is my USB controller dead?

I was adjusting my microphone and I think it put stress on the USB cable on the side of my motherboard. When I fixed my mic I noticed all my peripherals except my headphones were working (USB headphones) and after replugging in none of my peripherals seemed like they were getting power. When I unplugged everything and turned off my computer completely with the reset button and I just left it completely off for a minute, my keyboard and mouse got power until it got to the windows lock screen. Now when I plug my mouse into any of the ports it gets power for a second and then goes away
