Wine vs Crossover for Linux

Is it worth it to buy Crossover for Windows apps on linux? Also is it a subscription or one time buy?

well for an average user it does not worth it unless some extreme cases

Not worth it imo. In the little experience I've had with it, it didn't work any better than wine (in terms of performance or compatibility), and it's paid, which sucks.

it has better compatibility 

for example it can run modern versions of ms office
