Console PC Question

In my journey to create a console like experience and build for my living room. I have hit a snag. I have been able to find an game client app that imports all my games from different source to one space. Ability to have console like interface with the Playnite app. Last step is to turn on and off the PC with a wireless xbox elite remote. When the remote is plugged in via wired hitting the xbox button turns the pc on but not wireless via dongle.Any suggestions on how to do this? (no troll comments saying just get a xbox, this is my experiment and preference)

What have I done?

- Device manager - set xbox receiver power management to wake pc on

- Connected bluetooth and no response when computer is off or asleep

- Connecting to USB 3.0 port (which i read would work) didnt work
