Use SSD cache port sa "normal" port?

Hello!

I got an Asus p8z77-v Deluxe motherboard and i wonder if i can use the 2 sata ports with SSD CACHE stickers on as "normal" sata ports?

I tried to connect an ordinary hdd to it but when i started the computer up it just staid with a black screen and didnt load.

Make sure that the Marvell controller is enabled in the bios as those two ports are controlled by Marvell and not Intel.
