Sorry if this is the wrong place for this thread just made my account to ask for help.

Hello to anyone who reads this, this morning I went to turn my PC on and it did nothing no beeps no lights not a thing. I assumed it was the PSU but when I tested that with a different system it worked fine. I took the ram and HDD out and am using those in a cheap I3-4330 system I had lying around, so I know those work. I can't test my GPU, MB and CPU as the GPU doesn't fit into any of the MBs I have, but it worked fine the night before, and I don't have an other AM3+ MB to test the CPU. Nothing looks wrong with any of the parts and I have no money to replace anything so I wanted to know if I could fix this in anyway. I didn't do anything strange the night before this and it shutdown like normal, I'm just really confused at this point and any help is greatly appreciated.

My parts-

FX-8370 (stock cooler)

XFX Rx460 4gb (single fan)

8GB 2400mhz DDR3 (Patriot Viper)

AsRock 970m pro3

1 TB WD (its old cant remember the model)

500gb Hitachi hdd (which I dropped after taking the PC apart, I don't think it works anymore)

EVGA 550w

RaidMax Ninja 2 Case

I have a few scrap PC's lying around so I was able to throw something together for being able to work on my school work but I lost all my games on the Hitachi and can't run anything on a i3. So again any help at all even if its just to understand what is wrong with the PC would be wonderful. If images are needed let me know.

have you checked your power button's wires on your motherboard? Sometimes they can come loose and not make a solid connection. Try shorting the pins if you know how to. Here is an idea, not all motherboards are the same though

I did check that as it was the first thing I did. You always forget to push a plug in all the way, but it was all plugged in fine and I did also try to short the pins to no avail.

I don't think the plates are broken but it is a very bad clicking sound on the Hitachi drive so a hand is most likely out of place. The drive isn't being detected either. Also i'm lucky enough that it was mostly used for storing my games not my OS. But I had some pictures and stuff stored on there which is unfortunate.

Okay I got some things to add,

I checked the PSU and did the whole jumper trick with the 24pin and it turns on fine and dandy. Checked the CPU no bet pins no burn marks all looks good. And then I found on the MB where the USB 3.0 header is for the front IO was a missing pin in the header. Now I know that there is the normal "Missing pin" in the corner of the Header but this has a bit of the pin still sticking out but its like it was bent off.

Now I don't know if that is enough for the MB to die. Please let me know.
