cpu fan header

I was wondering if I could plug in an aio into it as i have a generic mobo from a prebuilt

is it safe to do so?

the mobo i have doesnt have a pump port

In general, you can usually just plug a pump into a fan header. You would need to be able to get into the Bios and set the header to run at 100%. You would also want to check to make sure the fan header is 12v, most are. However, some motherboards in a pre-built have fan headers that only run at 5v, I only know that because I worked with an Acer desktop that was like that.

You could also just get a SATA to 3 pin adapter or a Molex to 3 pin adapter. That is probably the easiest and safest way to get the job done and guarantee 12v power to the pump.

mine is an acer aspire gx 785 ur17, the bios has no fan control, its a very crap mobo
