8600k upgrade?

Hi everyone,

I mainly play warzone but my CPU keeps staying at 100% and getting poor frames, I've tried to overclock it but I can't seem to find the right balance and it likes to crash no matter what clock I try currently (4.4GHZ 1.30v)

Was wondering if it would be worth upgrading to the 9900k or getting a whole new mobo/cpu (around £400 to play with)

current specs:

Cpu: i5-8600k

Mobo: MSI Z370 KRAIT GAMING

Gpu: 2060 super

Ram 32gb (16x 2 corsair dominator)

1tb 980 ssd

So a used 8700K would be a good deal, but if you want to buy a new platform then just get a 5600x + a new MOBO for around 90 - 100.

What FPS are getting and what do you want to be getting? You could easily squeeze another 20~30% out of your config if you put more effort into CPU oc and tried ocing your ram.

8700K @ 5.2ghz 1.29V, 4x8 Rev.E @ 4040 13-20-20-39 1.7V.
