Razer RGB Controller Question

I need to add some RGB to my case.  Since my desk is covered in Razer gear, I thought the Razer controller would be a natural addition. 

 

I do have one question though... I'm looking at RGB fans, and several packs come with their own little rgb controller box that the fans plug into, and from out of that box they have a 3 pin 5v header cable meant to plug into motherboards.  Question is, can we plug that box into the Razer controller?  I understand all fans plugged into the fan-controller box would get treated as a single set of LEDs, but … would it work?

 

I know I could just as easily buy fans that plug straight into the Razer controller, but if the pack comes with a fan controller, why waste the slots on the Razer controller...

ya the controller is like have an argb header on the mb but some offer better control
