Network Adapter stopped working

Hey guys,

my ethernet network adapter suddenly stopped working, windows wont recognize it anymore and the ethernet light from the motherboard arent lighting up anymore, my pc is a recent build only 3 months old.

 

Specs:

Asus Tuf Gaming B550

Ryzen 7 3700X

2x8GB 3200Mhz CL16 RAM

RTX 2070 Super

512GB Adata Falcon NVme

Corsair RM650 80Plus Gold

Intel Core i5-12600K            Gigabyte Z690 Gaming X            XPG Gammix  D10 (4x8GB) DDR4-3200Mhz

ADATA Falcon 512GB            Nvme  XPG Gammix S41 TUF 256GB Nvme            WD Green 480GB Nvme

Zotac Geforce RTX 2070 Super            XPG Core Reactor 850W            Seagate HD 1TB 7200rpm

I'm guessing you'd like help with this? I would plug the cable into something else and see if the cable failed for some reason first. If its still good, I would get the drivers off the board maker's website and reinstall that. If that still doesn't fix it, then contact ASUS and see about RMA.

 

Alternative solution: get a PCIe (or USB if that's your kink) network adapter.

For some reason it got to work again after 40min with the computer plugged out. Dunno what happened but its working again.
Edit: Nevermind, it stopped working again.

Its not the cable, the network adapter just stops working, windows does not recognize it
