Budget (including currency): ~2000 USD

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Cyberpunk, COD, MC, Gaming and Productivity

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

- Using 144Hz monitor

So I am looking into building my first PC and am wondering a few things. First (And most importantly) Intel or AMD. From what I know a CPU for this kind of build would be around $350 so I was wondering what kind of CPU I should choose.

If intel I for sure am going for a 3080 but once again if AMD I don't know whether to go Nvidia or AMD.

If anyone has tips or build please leave them below.

Great build! But I would recommend a higher wattage PSU. I would also recommend a 5800x. Its a great CPU and a few $$$ less.

I mean he said that he is doing productivity workloads, and he has the budget for a 5900x, so why not?

Also 750W should be okay with the RM. if op wants to do 850 he can always change that.

Sure, but I always think that if there is a place to save some money, then make it happen. I would go with the 5800x, but your right. If OP wants to go with a 5900x, then they should. But I really would go with a higher wattage PSU if OP is gonna get a 5900x.

I also want it to last for quite a while. I have a question too. NVME or M.2 drives are used primarily over SSD's for what purpose.
