Hi.

After opening up my pc to add a network card and restarting it, it has become extremely slow and laggy. Takes like 4 minutes to start on an SSD and when it does opening windows search panel for example takes ~4 seconds. Just feels like a really old pc.

After checking ryzen master and task manager, I saw my ryzen 5 3600x is now throttled and can't hit +500mhz, when it used to hit 4.2ghz easily.

I also ran user benchmark and it said everything was OK except my very slow cpu (temperatures are 30°C which is normal)

What could be causing this issue? Already tried changing the energy settings, upgrading my bios, resetting my bios to default settings, installing drivers, removed my second gpu and also the new network card, disabled fast boot, applied new thermal paste, checked my pc cables etc. Basically all of the basic stuff I could find on forums.

I'm running it on Windows 10 and my motherboard is an msi b450 tomahawk max.

I don't know if this could be a hardware issue since it happened when I was upgrading my pc like I said, but the only thing I did was switch both gpus places (so gpu1 went to slot of gpu2) and added the network card, I tried placing everything where it was before but same issue

Help would be highly appreciated since my pc is worthless at the moment, feels like an old windows 95 or something. Just taking these screenshots took 20 min. Please let me know what more info you need, first time posting since I'm desperate (sorry for the second shit picture, not even gyazo was working properly)

Just made a thread about my pc lagging then saw this, can confirm I've got a similar issue. Cpu won't exceed around 520mhz, Ryzen 2700x. I have a 2600 lying about that I think I'll try just now.

Hey my dude I finally managed to fix this horrible bug by downgrading to the 7C02v30 version of the bios driver for my msi b450 tomahawk max. CPU is now hitting 4.2ghz like it used to do. Hope that helps you!
