No it should be okay

You could check graphical settings, some of them are heavier on CPU than GPU perhaps, lowering them might yield better results

You can crank anything that doesn't affect CPU usage up since you have so much GPU headroom

But do consider upgrading you CPU when you next upgrade your PC, it's quite an unbalanced pairing for AAA games lol

Hey, just swapped out my gtx960 2gb with an rtx3060 ti but the GPU usage average at 35% and CPU usage average at 50% while playing GTAV on almost max settings. My monitor is 144hz and that's also what's set in the game's settings, V-sync is also turned off. I know I've got a cpu bottleneck, but the cpu itself is only averaging at 50%. At first I had problems with GPU drivers, but I managed to fix it so that should be okay. In nvidia control panel, I also set the powersaving option to "Prefer maximum performance". I managed to get to 100% GPU usage while mining,

Maybe it's my ram, but I want to make sure first since I'd have to upgrade a lot of components to make use of higher ram speeds.

Current specs:

PSU: Corsair rm650x

GPU: Asus RTX 3060 ti Dual OC

CPU: Intel I7-6700(non-k)

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB(2x8GB) 2133mhz

Motherboard: MSI B150M BAZOOKA

Thanks

You'll have to look at individual core usage, not overall usage for CPU bottlenecks

As long as one thread is pinned above 90%, it's a good indication that it's bottlenecking

How many fps are you getting anyways

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

So I checked... CPU 2 had highest overall usage averaging at 65% peaking at 70%. I also get around 80-60fps. I might add that I play with 1080p.

It's likely a CPU bottleneck still, seeing how old the CPU is, but for safe measures, you can try running DDU and reinstalling your GPU drivers, latest ones from Nvidia website
