Over performing gtx 970?

I built my first pc a few months ago and I got a Msi gtx 970 limited edition. For some reason this card can get over 200 FPS on games a rtx 2070 couldn’t. I just want to see if anybody knows how this is possible.

People have this issue when upgrading parts often. Check the drivers and see if the card is overheating

What game and what settings?
