USB 3.0 Extension Cable Not working anymore after drivers got updated

You can uninstall the driver and see what gets installed after reboot.

Or use system restore point...

Or try to F8 during boot and pick last known good configuration.

Hi techs,

A while back I purchased a USB 3.0 Active Extension cable (5m) from China somewhere.

It worked fine, just until today I tried "Driver Booster 8". First conclusion was that my PC performs somewhat better. But at the cost that my cable doesn't work at all anymore.

When I plug it in, it even takes some time before windows give the USB-device plugged/unplugged sound. I started to realise that maybe the cable itself might gotten flashed by the software? There is a small box on the cable itself.

Is there a way to undo all this? I can't roll back the drivers in DeviceManagement. The option is greyed out.

Thanks for the fast reply,

I couldn't F8 during boot because of Asus logo I think? Either way, in Windows, I searched for System Restore point, returned to a previous point before I messed up the drivers. And it worked.
