Hi, this is my first time making a computer, and I'm not very experienced with this or windows in general. My pc posted, and I was able to access bios. When I put windows install media on a flash drive, it put me through the sequence, asking for a key and all that. When it got to selecting where I should put windows on, every time it said "We couldn't create a new partition or find an existing one". I cleaned the ssd and was able to selected it, but when it got to the installing screen, it never made it past 0% before failing. I installed the media from a mac, if that is relevant. Is this a problem with my ssd? I have been trying to fix it for about 5 hours now and I don't know what to do.

Is the SSD new?

How did you "clean" it?

Thats windows 10 for you! There are a couple things you could try, with the most likely to help probably diskpart (You can google instructions on how to use it). But before you do that I would say to try installing from a USB 2.0 flash drive as windows 10 sometimes throws hissy fits when installing cleanly from USB 3(In my experience anyway!), also maybe reformatting the USB drive and reinstalling windows on it may help?

I tried using diskpart a few rimes, but i will try using usb 2.0. I reformatted the usb to fat32, because thats the only one that seemed to work. However i had to split the file due to the fact that fat32 can't handle big files. could this be an issue?
