Hi there,

I have a problem with the CPU (I guess, ryzen 5 3600) I can't fix. My brother got a new pc case and cooler for Christmas. We transferred all the pc components to it and installed them. But upon starting the pc the Mainboard (Msi B450 vdh max) just lit up the upper most status led signaling a cpu failure or error. Everything worked great yesterday!

I can't think of what to try/do next. All cables are correctly installed, no bent pins, everything else seems to work (even the rgb turned on). Resetting the bios didn't help either.

Thanks in advance and a happy holiday.

Edit: I don't know if it is important but after pressing the power button to start, the led is lit for a few seconds before briefly turning of and on again.

You will have to update the BIOS. To do this, you will need a 1000-series or 2000-series Ryzen chip to update the BIOS, which will then allow you to run your 3600 in your B450 board.

If you don't have one of those, you can take it to a computer repair shop or see if AMD is still running the BIOS update packages.

PLEASE STOP [Killing] ME I WILL GIVE Y OU ANOTHER DEAL.

Didn't help! Now I'm really lost.

I'm starting to think that the problem is with the motherboard
