I need a little help. I have a Corsair 680X and was looking at getting a MSI Gaming X Trio 3090 when they are available. However when checking on PC Part picker it says it's incomparable.

Turns out the case can only take 330mm and the card is 335mm so I was wondering if any one has a 680X and if any one can verafy the fit. I used a tape measure and got roughly 333mm but I'm not exactly the best and measurements.

If it helps I will be using a MSI X570 Godlike.

(Context only getting 3090 because the company I work for is selling our contracts to us so we can signe 37.5 hour contracts with unpaid breaks for £2400 which is more like 19-2100 after tax)

Are those full sized fans or slim fans.

If they are full size you can get slim fans and it should fit.

Corsair LL120 fans so full size do they do LL120 slim. I am a sucker for RGB hens the case and the choice of the Gaming X I could use the VENTUS 3X OC but it's not as nice looking. If I were vertical mounting it maybe but I am like that Elmo meme with RGB

I don't think corsair makes slim RGB fans.

I am pretty sure SilverStone has some slim RGB fans.

Noctua makes some slim fans and as with everything Noctua they are ugly as sin but they preform well.

Google around I am sure you will find something.

I am the opposite my PC is a hulking black steel tower......

I am really not into RGBs....

I would check if the GPU would get enough air if mounted vertically. The 3090 is toasty.

I like the chromax black Noctua fans that's why I have a Noctua Nh-d15 chromax black and a 140mm rear fan to replace the corsair 120mm gray one. Also no vertical mouth would be to toasty unless I lived with the side panel off.

As for the RGB they dont make slim fans for corsair and If i were going to change them i would have to change them all as i would go crazy with multiple RGB controllers and trying to find ones that are compatible.

Also each to there own. The 680X is a hefty case to black with tempered glass panels. Some were in my eyes at least between elegant and strong.

Agreed.

I am just not an expert on RGB.....

I am currently running a Nanoxia deep silence 6 rev. b

But that is mostly because I also need to fit 9 HDDs in there......

The new build in that case is still in progress but I replaced everything with Noctua 14mm industrial fans.

Planning to deshroud a 3080 and slap some 3000RPM industrial Noctuas on it.

Damn ok that's a lot of fan power for a 3080.

And yeah I see your point the 680X has space for 4x2.5 and 3x3.5 drives and the motherboard I have selected can have 3 M.2 drives which is more than enough for me...well I hope it is XD
