I'm looking to buy some speakers to blast music and also provide amazing sound quality.

I want some advice on which would be best?

My budget is around £80 which is a good amount but if there are some good cheaper speakers (around £50) then please let me know.

They also need to be able to be compatible with my PC so the standard audio jack :)

Cheers

EDIT - Need to have really good bass so i can feel it in my heart :P

I am not up to date on speakers, however I can definitely tell you neither of the ones you listed.

What I do know however is that what you really want is two desktop studio monitors on your desk and not some surround sound bullcrap. Subwoofer is also basically useless when you have good desktop speakers.

You might find something amazing for the price, but I don't think you'll find anything truly amazing for where your budget is; definitely if you would prefer something even less than your budget price. So just keep that in mind  ^_^

On the other hand you could get these, you loose some bass but mids will be a lot better

Oh right OK. The speakers will only be used occasionally

Monitor= speaker haha

two monitors just means two desktop speakers

Like I said I've never been into speakers because I feel like you have to pay more to attain better sound than with headphones (not sure if it's true or if it's my preconceived notion) and I also don't want to bother neighbours. If you want me to help you with headphones recommendations, I could gladly help you.

The T40s no question. or you could save up for the extreme Z623 which will leave a lot of noise and probably piss off your neighbours, i currently use the z623, the T40 is the next best bet.

Ok, the only thing i need to ask is whether or not subwoofers are even worth it?

Will i notice it in music?

Important to note that i am interested in good bass so i get that feeling in my heart when it pulses

your budget is a little restrictive.

If you can stretch it a little, get the Q acoustics 2020i. Much better than any creative or logitech crap.

I really can't mate. With the T40s be good enough? is the base really good on the heart?

if the bass just makes the building shake, sorry to say but it's shite bass.

If you really can't stretch the price like you said, then I would definitely go for some used speakers off craigslist or an equivalent service in the UK. Speakers last for decades so you shouldn't worry.

Mind telling me what area of the UK you live in? Also is there anything similar to craigslist in the UK? I know leboncoin is a craigslist equivalent in France.

it will have a lot less bass but it will have better mids and maybe highs.

I'm around 35 miles away from Manchester, Ebay is the closest we get to Craiglist as far as i know.

Will the bass make my heart pump though? need something to make me feel the music (its like a high for me)
