LCD Controller Board Not Working

I have an M133NWN1 R1 lcd screen and a controller board for it but it doesn't seem to be working. It shows up as a device on my computer with the correct resolution and the backlight works, but no picture is showing up. I'm powering it with my old laptop charger connected to a board that steps down the voltage to 12V. Is the controller broken or am I doing something wrong?
