Free up Android storage

Go to solution Solved by jwwagner25,

App data (cache, etc) can tend to take up a lot of storage. Have you installed any filesystem apps to analyze storage? I'm not sure if it's the same on the S9 but on my S20, the samsung default 'my files' app has a big button on the bottom of the main page that says 'analyze storage'. That will (after a few seconds) show you a breakdown of what is taking up space, and where.

If that isn't an option, my favorite 3rd party apps are FX file manager or Solid file explorer. Both are free, and have built in tools for analyzing storage and showing you where space is being used.

If none of those help, your only real option is to do a factory reset and start over. Unfortunately these days 64gb isn't really enough space. I mean it can be, but it will just fill up so quickly. I hate to be 'that person' but if none of the above can adequately solve the problem, it might be time to get a new phone.

Best of luck.

Hello everyone,

I have an issue with my Samsung Galaxy s9+ 64 GB

I have a 64 GB SD card on My phone and every multimedia file is stored in the SD Card and also every big sized apps but still 99% of my internal storage is full, can't figure out what to do to free up some space.

Thanks,
