Windows 10 installation

Rangerfly

Hi so I have a friend who when building their pc didn't install their ssd correctly and didn't realize it up til now. They have all their files and things saved on their hard drive but are wanting to transfer windows to the ssd.

Is it possible to do this without having to format the HDD?

yeah!

there's a lot of software to do this out there, but I've only successfully used easeus (I have no affiliation with them though, obviously):

deny any prompts to upgrade from the free version and select disk clone once installed. clone your hdd to the ssd and you should be good to go. Just format the HDD afterwards.
