INTEL CPU CAUSING FREEZES

This is my PC

i7-9700

GTX 1650

CX500 WATT

16GB DDR4 GSKILL

250GB SSD

The CPU is making the computer completely freeze (locks up), but everything in the PC continues running. After about 1 minute (once you turn it) on this happens.

I know it is the CPU because my i3-8100 is making it run fine.

Any viable fixes?

Did you make sure the CPU is not overheating or something?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Did you clear CMOS before you tried booting with the new CPU? Your BIOS might still be trying to run off the 8100's settings.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.
