High NAND writes

Hello. I bought Kingston KC600 several days ago after my previous from ADATA died after almost 5 years of hard work. I like the SSD so far just have a simple question. In Crystal Disk Info I noticed total count of NAND writes and now its above 2.5 TB already. How is it possible? I did not do any heavy data transfer. Will I exceed the limit of this SSD really quick then? Is it normal? Should I panik?

I'd say it's normal for when you first start using it

But if you stopped writing to it and it still climbs fast, I would start investigating on what's using it

Shadowplay cache maybe?

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Give it a few more days

I'm not familiar with your drive but it could be using SLC cache so the writes are much more than what u paste

Ok. Thanks for your answer

By the way NAND writes increased to 2.55 TB already...

I wouldn't worry too much, given that nand can handle like... 1000 writes? That's 500petabytes, you're far off still

Really? Ok, didn’t know that. it’s reassuring, thanks again.

Average erase count is 4 while the flash in there can probably handle...well, honestly it varies, but 3K minimum. Not much to worry about. SLC average erase count is related but a bit different.
